In Behind Your Touch episode 15, after Jang-Yeol solves an important part of the puzzle, Ye-Bun learns the killer’s identity. However, a new problem arises soon.
Recap
Seon-Woo dies and Ye-Bun blames Jang-Yeol for it, ceasing any communication with him. Jang-Yeol tries to save her after Detective Kang tries to interrogate her, also getting in a fistfight with him in the process.
He tries to give up his medal himself and investigate the case himself, but Jong-Muk and the team are with him, also getting him back his medal. He soon figures out that the serial killer uses sunglasses to create the blackouts.
Ye-Bun finds little meaning in this discovery of his until she visits Park Jong-Bae, who’s preparing for Seon-Woo’s funeral rites. He’s also wearing sunglasses and Ye-Bun immediately realizes he’s the serial killer.
Jong-Bae changes his body language and hides nothing now, revealing how he had to kill Seon-Woo after he found out his identity and also how he had to Ye-Bun’s grandfather as well even when he didn’t want to. His power is revealed too.
He spares her, on the condition that she keeps it to herself. Ye-Bun slips a chit to Jang-Yeol later on, doing it covertly so that Jong-Bae can’t catch it.
She directs Jang-Yeol to Seon-Woo’s phone which has the voice recording of Jong-Bae confessing he’s the killer, which he did while killing Seon-Woo. He’s arrested soon.
However, he reveals to Jang-Yeol that he’s arranged for one more death which will occur if he’s not set free.
Ye-Bun arrives at the interrogation room and touches him, only to not see anything since he closed his eyes while carrying Ok-Hui to a remote region and dropping her into some tight enclosed space.
Review
- With such a small number of people left who all touched Ye-Bun on her way back from Ji-Suk’s incident, the clouds of suspicion were all around Seon-Woo and Park Jong-Bae. However, his reveal is still very much thrilling and effective.
- Behind Your Touch episode 15 also takes the viewers back to Seon-Woo’s murder and the poor man’s quick thinking and efforts even as he was at the death’s door only make his entering that door all the more tragic.
- This is also the first time Ye-Bun and Jang-Yeol have an obvious and bitter rift between them, making it very different from all the times they have had cute fights before in Behind Your Touch.
- This is why their reconciliation feels a tad bit premature, whereas a last-episode reconciliation during a high-stakes situation would have landed better.
