In Strong Girl Nam-Soon episode 6, Hee-Sik witnesses his team leader get afflicted with the side effects of the drug while Nam-Soon’s investigation continues and attracts the attention of her enemies.

Recap

Ryu Si-O orders Manager Heo to spy on Nam-Soon in exchange for a promotion, and he gladly accepts the job offer. Meanwhile, Nam-Soon plans to go back and try to recover drugs again.

She uses her former vagrant buddies for help. Elsewhere, Nam-In continues to feel bad and that his mother loves Nam-Soon and hates him, by all the mockery and fat-shaming she subjects him to.

Geum-Ju meets Bread Song again and cuts deep into him when she calls him a scammer, triggering him instantly. She later sets up a meeting with Si-O to play mahjong.

Hee-Sik contends with the dramatic effects of the drug that have been inflicted upon his team leader. With the help of Nam-Soon, he manages to restrain him and after one day without no water, the team leader successfully comes back to his senses.

However, after Hee-Sik leaves, he again starts having craving for water and looks on to the commode water as his last resort. Meanwhile, Ryu Si-O orders more drugs for him, which he takes with the antidote, so he can have the exaggerated strength that it gives him, without the fatal effects.

Gil Jang-Goon becomes more and more desperate for Sun-Hee. Nam-In storms off the dinner table, announcing he’s going to live with his dad because his mom loves Nam-Soon more.

At work, Hwa-Ja rushes towards Nam-Soon with a knife that she plunges into her stomach before episode 6 of Strong Girl Nam-Soon concludes.

Review

Strong Girl Nam-Soon episode 6 is packed with a lot of storylines and subplots that can distract and even slightly perturb one.
There’s too much going on for what should be a simple entertaining story about overpowered women.
It’s not that these supporting characters aren’t interesting or funny, but these little trickles of runtime don’t allow for proper exploration and the screentime for so many subplots adds up to a lot.
Nam-Soon’s cheeky and overconfident flair might prove to be a mistake, but only time will tell if that becomes true or if Hee-Sik’s warnings are unwarranted concerns.
