In Doctor Cha season 1 episode 10, Jeong-Suk has to contend with the consequences of a big revelation; Seung-Hi gives In-Ho an ultimatum; Jeon So-Ra supports Jeong-Suk through a difficult time.
Recap
When a drunk In-Ho babbles out the truth of his relationship with Jeong-Suk to everyone, Jeong-Suk has no choice but to go along. Meanwhile, she has to perform an emergency delivery where In-Ho proves to be no help.
Later, Jeong-Suk and In-Ho have to address their relationship and apologize to others for keeping it a secret all this time. Roy Kim is upset that she’s going along with it even when she knows he’s cheating on her, to which Jeong-Suk replies by asking him to not see her as some pathetic woman.
Meanwhile, Jeon So-Ra gets upset with Jung-Min for keeping the secret as well, which later snowballs into a fight with more of their relationship’s weaknesses coming to the surface. Seung-Hi meets with In-Ho and gives him an ultimatum to make a decision regarding her and Jeong-Suk quickly, while she also prepares to sell off her inherited assets and move to New York.
Roy Kim is upset again at seeing Jeong-Suk being forced to keep appearances up in front of other doctors while the reality is something else entirely. Jeong-Suk tells him she will prioritize her children while deciding the path she wants to take.
Roy Kim reassures her that she’s got a friend in him while also indirectly saying that he’ll propose to her when she’s made a decision regarding her marriage and other things. Later, Eun-Seo and I-Rang have a fight that leaves the former with an arm sling. Seung-Hi and In-Ho rush to see her at the hospital and ask what happened.
Eun-Seo tells them I-Rang did it, which Jeong-Suk, who had followed them to the hospital, overhears. Learning that her daughter also knew of the cheating affects her really badly and she feels suffocated. Jeon So-Ra happens to see her in this state and asks her to get inside the dorm.
She later asks her to company her to a drive, to relieve the suffocating feelings. She also reveals to her that she knew of the cheating, after opening the roof of her car, and when it starts to rain, the mechanism gets stuck, causing them to fidget around before bursting into laughter. Doctor Cha season 1 episode 10 shortly rolls the credits.
Review
- Doctor Cha season 1 episode 10 is low on laughter and it feels appropriate, given how the subject matter of such a messy affair must weigh on an already troubled woman.
- In-Ho proves to be a coward with every passing episode and truly demonstrates why he doesn’t deserve either of the women he’s been treated so badly for years.
- Jeon So-Ra and Jeong-Suk’s budding friendship turns out to be really heartwarming, and it’s a matter of a few episodes before it proves to be an influential and significant factor in So-Ra and Jung-Min’s dwindling relationship.
