In Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 11, Yuji and friends head to the Cerulean Tower in order to find and incapacitate the curse users responsible for the barrier.
Recap
Yuji, Megumi, and Ino figure out that the source of the barrier must be located somewhere conspicuous. They figure out that it’s at the top of the Cerulean Tower.
Three curse users are present there, who think that their location would not be cracked by anyone, and even if it is, they are confident that they’ll remain safe.
However, Yuji, Megumi, and Ino suddenly arrive and throw the curse users into a frenzy. Ino fights two users — a grandmother performing a seance, and her grandson who’s relatively weak and emotes like a plank.
Ino delivers a barrage of attacks until the grandmother’s seance is completed, the result of which is her grandson’s transformation into Zenin Toji. Ino is surprised, and soon he’s beaten to a bloody pulp by Toji.
Meanwhile, Yuji and Megumi fight the other curse user who uses the Inverse technique. It renders weak attacks into powerful ones and vice versa.
Megumi eventually figures it out and with the help of Yuji’s incredible agility, they are able to defeat the curse user.
Earlier in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 11, the curse users reminisce how the birth of Gojo brought about such an imbalance in the world that they were robbed of their freedom to do what they wanted, thanks to Gojo’s unnaturally immense powers.
Review
- Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 11 is a great installment as Yuji and Megumi’s cooperation and battle IQs really shine through during their fight with the curse user.
- Ino’s fate is really sad as he, despite his cool powers, stands no chance against Toji — the beast who has just been brought back to the world, however fleeting his comeback may be.
- This gives way to the inevitable reunion of the father and the son, and it can’t get more hype than that, albeit more grim and devastating moments are to come after that.
