In Strong Girl Nam-Soon episode 12, Ryu Si-O learns about Geum-Ju’s ruse as the higher-ups in Pavel pressure him to hand over the antidote business over to them.
Ryu Si-O sends a killer to dispose of Geum-Ju at the hospital but she beats up the killer and sends her back with a message. Si-O is even more enraged now.
Meanwhile, he receives another call from Pavel and is pressured to give the antidote business over to the mafia organization, but he claims his ownership of the antidote and refuses to bend to Pavel.
The commissioner reads the report that Hee-Sik’s late team leader had drafted and informs the prosecutor about it. The prosecutor calls Ryu Si-O about his drug business and the latter warms the prosecutor in a meeting later on.
Si-O scares him by telling him that he’s had drinks before that he very easily could have spiked with his drug. He also scares the prosecutor by threatening to have his family members killed, before telling him that he must constrict the investigation and efforts against him and his company.
Geum-Ju is informed by the Opulentia agent to keep alert and so she begins tightening security around her family members. She is also met by Bread Song who agrees to only reveal his secrets if she dates him.
Hee-Sik moves ahead with his investigation as well as his relationship with Nam-Soon, and things get steamy between them again.
Ryu Si-O tries to get close to Nam-Soon, who asks him to reveal all the secrets about his business to him if she is to let him get close. Si-O agrees to let her in on the machinations of it all, as Strong Girl Nam-Soon episode 12 concludes.
- Strong Girl Nam-Soon episode 12 is a bit of a dud in terms of all the things that make it rather fun. The comedy doesn’t hit the same way, nor do the stakes that have heightened up of late.
- Geum-Ju continues to serve to the best of her ability, though and remains one of the best characters to look at in the show, even though the way she is written to be so regressive otherwise still hurts.
- Geum-Ju is now more lenient with her son but this doesn’t feel like she has developed as a character. The amount of time she gives him is still not enough and her efforts seem more like corrective measures.
- Hee-Sik and Nam-Soon’s romance could be way more than what it is, which is still adorable and everything but lacks the creativity that a premise like this should warrant.
